Come and be a part of our vibrant community by participating or volunteering at our many events! Usher in Spring with the Easter Egg Hunt and celebrate Memorial Day weekend at the Pancake Breakfast at the Firehouse, and then on to the  treats at the Ice Cream Social on the Circle. Gear up for a jubilant 4th of July celebration with our festive Bike Parade, and make sure not to overlook the unique finds at the Civic Club Bazaar. There is a fun Beach Party mid-summer with a new Point Fest event to close out the summer. Fall activities culminate with the traditional Dunes and More Day. Our diverse array of events offers something enjoyable for everyone!

Easter Egg Hunt

A Cape May tradition hosted by the Volunteer Fire Company and the Civic Club on the Saturday of Easter weekend. Following rides on the Firetrucks children hunt for eggs at Pavilion Circle. A favorite way to usher in Spring.

Mulch & More Day

April 25, 2026 from 10AM to 12PM at Triangle Park and Pavilion Circle

Our annual Spring Volunteer Clean-up Day. Volunteers help "Circle Bedfellows" mulch the Circle Beds while another group cleans and mulches Triangle Park. "The Boat" gets planted with seasonal plants. This is followed by a lunch for volunteers. 

Veterans Memorial Dedication

This special dedication ceremony brings our community together in gratitude and remembrance. With words, music, and quiet reflection, we recognize the deep legacy of service that shapes our town and our country. Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, or a neighbor who simply wants to say thank you, your presence helps make this moment meaningful.

Pancake Breakfast

TBD at the Fire Station

Pancakes and sausage at the Fire House starts off Memorial Day weekend. This has become a family tradition for generations. Hosted by the Cape May Point Fire Company.

Ice Cream Social

May 23 2026 from 4 to 6 PM at Pavilion Circle

Welcome the summer season with Ice Cream complete with toppings at the Circle. Traditionally held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, this is a time to meet and greet fellow Pointers as the summer season begins. Games for Children are a highlight.

Five Mile Run

TBD starting at the Fire Station

Hosted by the Cape May Point Volunteer Fire Company a 5-mile and 2-mile race through the streets of Cape May Point. This Fire Company fund raising event attracts many runners, including members of the Coast Guard.

Summer Solstice Concert

June 20 2026 from 4 to 7 PM at Pavilion Circle

Join us as we enjoy the summer solstice with a concert and picnic at the Circle. Groups and individuals bring food to share while enjoying the music as we celebrate the start of summer.

4th of July Bike Parade

July 4 2026 starts at TBD  from Pavilion Circle and the Fire Station

Hosted by the Fire Company and supported by the Civic Club, the parade starts at the Firehouse and winds its way through the Point. Bicycles and other manners of conveyance are decorated and everyone can participate in this fun noisy parade. Happy Birthday USA!

Civic Club Bazaar

TBD at the Science Center

A Bazaar that has something for everybody. Grab summer reading from the masses of donated books, find some treasure at the White Elephant. There are basket and restaurant raffles, silent auction, a 50:50 and an opportunity to purchase craft items. Food is available for purchase. All proceeds go to beautification projects at the Point, support of the Fire Company, scholarships and local charities.

Summer Beach Party

July 25, 2026 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Coral Ave Beach

New in 2024, a Beach Party complete with Steel Drum music held at Coral Beach. From 5:30 to Sunset there will be music and games and the opportunity to meet fellow Pointers. Everyone is urged to bring your own food, beverage and chairs.

Women's Lifeguard Competition

TBD St Pete's Beach

A premier competition for Women Lifeguards in New Jersey involving, run, paddle and swim. Hosted by the CMP lifeguards with support of the entire community.

Point Fest

August 29 2026 from 5 to 8PM on Yale Avenue in front of the Fire Station

Join us at the fire station for a fun street party with live music, dinner and desserts provided. All proceeds benefit the CMP Volunteer Fire Company. Point Fest is a community celebration sponsored by the CMP Civic, the CMP Volunteer Fire Company and the Cape May Point Taxpayers' Association.

Annual Meeting/Awards

September TBD 2026 from 5 to 8 PM at the Science Center

All members of the Taxpayers Association are invited to attend an overview of Association activities as well as elect Board members. This is the evening for Heritage and Garden Awards. Refreshments are served and it is a fun evening for Members.

Dunes and More Day

October 10 2026 from 10 AM to Noon on the Dunes and at Triangle Park and the Fire Station

A long tradition at Cape May Point. Every year there are plants and grass plugs added to the Dunes. In addition, Triangle Park is maintained and planted for the Fall. All volunteers are treated to a hoagie lunch at the Firehouse.

Light the Point

Kick off the season with sparkle and spirit! Light the Point is a beloved Cape May Point tradition where neighbors, friends, and families gather to transform Pavilion Circle Park into a glowing holiday wonderland. The CMPTA provides everything—lights, cords, timers, and a little magic. All we need are helping hands and cheerful hearts to bring the glow to life.

Lighting Awards

Some displays stop us in our tracks—and we think they deserve a little fanfare. The CMPTA Lighting Awards honor neighbors whose holiday decorations bring joy, wonder, and a touch of magic to Cape May Point. Whether it’s whimsical, classic, or delightfully over-the-top, we celebrate the creativity that lights up our town.
